Ice Watch Review: (BMW Edition) Quick Review

The Ice watch brand is known for its colorful assortment and array of various styles of watches. Many watch enthusiasts are already familiar with this brand. Today we will be doing an Ice Watch review of the Ice Watch: BMW Motorsport Edition. We will be covering it’s specifications, design, and features.

Specs

The Ice Watch BMW Motorsport edition is an analog dial watch with a blue leather band that has a width of 20 millimeters. It has a blue dial scratch resistant mineral , with a uni-directional rotating stainless steel bezel. This watch features Japanese quartz movement and is water resistant up to a depth of 100 meters. It is housed in a square, 48 millimeter plastic case.

Design

It comes in an all blue, square, plastic box sporting the BMW logo and lettering, as well as the Ice Watch logo. The watch itself has the word BMW Motorsport written around the bezel, as well as the BMW logo on the inside the dial.

The dial features a nice contrast against its navy blue coloring with red colored markers, a red chrono button, as well as some red lettering and the red Ice Watch logo. Those red highlights make it look extra sporty, which I’m sure was the intention behind that design choice.

Features

The BMW Motorsport Ice Watch has basic features. It contains tachymeter markers around the outside edge of the watch. This watch can be fully submerged in water up to a depth of 330 feet, so it is okay to use when swimming.

It has a calendar display at the 6 o’clock position. You can press the red chrono button at the top to activate the chronograph features, then press the third button down to turn stop it.

Quick Look

  • cool design
  • water resistant up to 330 ft.
  • calendar display
  • chronograph

Conclusion

At the end of the day, the Ice Watch BMW Motorsport (Steel) Blue Red watch, is a watch with pretty basic functionality. In terms of features, it is one step above a plain simple wristwatch such as the Timex Weekender that just tells the time.

The main thing I like about this one is it’s stylish design. So I would recommend this on style alone. It doesn’t have a digital display or the the app compatibility of a smartwatch, but it does look cool, it’s water resistant, and it’s backed by BMW! That is it for my quick Ice Watch review of the BMW Motorsport (Steel) Blue Red Edition.
