Daniel Klein Watches Review: Budget Designer Watches?

In this article we are going to be presenting a review of Daniel Klein watches. These are not to be confused with Calvin Klein watches, however. One could surmise that the entire marketing approach behind the name Daniel Klein watches is built upon people confusing the two brands. And that would not be a half bad way to gain exposure!

After all, Calvin Klein is in fact a well known and respected American fashion company. Getting some kind of recognition from a similar name, would definitely give the company a boost. So with all that being said, what do we actually know about Daniel Klein watches?

About Daniel Klein Watches

Apparently, the company behind the watches, the Daniel Klein group, was first established in Turkey in the early 1970’s. They have office branch locations in both Turkey, and China, with the manufacturing being done in China.

The brand is now an international brand, as it has since spread to many countries around the world. Like Calvin Klein, Daniel Klein is a fashion focused brand. With their watches, they focus on both fashionable styles combined with affordable pricing. The produce a variety of watches, including men’s and women’s watches, analog watches, and even smartwatches.

Daniel Klein Watches Review

Here we will look at some key factors in these watches. By looking at the build quality, design, and pricing, we should be able to figure out if these watches are any good or not. So let’s start by taking a look at the build.

Build Quality

Daniel Klein watches use quartz movement. Their watches generally have cases made of stainless steel, or a combination of alloys. The dial windows on these watches are usually mineral crystal. The bands can be made of stainless steel, leather, or silicone, depending on the model. For water resistance, around 30 to 50 meters of water resistance is common among these watches. So you really don’t want to wear these while swimming or bathing.

Overall I can say that the build quality is pretty average. This type of build is typical for the more inexpensive watches. Next, let’s see how they fare with their designs.

Designs

Daniel Klein watches are a fashion focused brand, so how do their designs hold up? Well, it’s really kind of a mixed bag. While they do have some unique pieces that do stand out, a lot of their designs seem uninspired. I’ve noticed a kind of blandness in a lot of the Daniel Klein watches that I’ve looked at.

Add to that, some of the cases seem to be excessively thick and bulky. And finally, a lot of the watches just have sort of a cheap look to them. I understand that these are budget designer watches, but I have seen other watches in this category that really pull off the premium look. A lot of the Daniel Klein watches I have seen, simply don’t have that luxury look that I have seen in other budget designer brands.

Ultimately, yes they do have some good looking watches, as well as some with interesting designs. But I think at the end of the day, they miss the mark when it comes to fashion as a whole.

What about their pricing?

Pricing

These are marketed as being affordable, and they are, in fact, very affordable. While their prices are not bargain bin prices, they generally stay less expensive than others in this space, such as Fossil. So all in all, they are pretty competitively priced, and will not set you back too much, should you decide to purchase one.

Daniel Klein Watches Review: Recommendations

Daniel Klein DK12231-1

This watch features an analog display and uses quartz movement. The case is stainless steel with a stainless steel band. It is water resistant 50 meters. This will protect it from smaller splashes of water, it is not enough to be safe for swimming with it on.

This is one of the more stylish entries to the Daniel Klein collection. It has large, easy to see numbers and markers, as well as a date window that is emphasized with a large pointer on the side of the watch. It comes in several different color variants, but the silver one with the white dial is, in my opinion, the best looking one.

Daniel Klein DK12238-5

This watch is powered by quartz movement and uses an analog display. The dial window is made of mineral crystal. The band is made of Italian leather. It is water resistant 50 meters, but do not submerge it in water.

This model looks pretty casual at first glance, however it does have an interesting display. The display features dual time for both 12 and 24 hour formats, a day calendar, and a date window. Overall this is a nice looking watch. You can get it in different color variations as well.

Final Thoughts On Daniel Klein Watches

After looking at the quality, designs, and pricing of these watches, I would say that I’m just not impressed with what they actually have to offer. They are not just truly bad, or horrible watches by any means, but these are just not watches that I myself would choose from, if I was looking for a discount designer watch.

As a matter of fact, when you compare the pricing of Daniel Klein watches to actual Calvin Klein watches, you might just as well get a Calvin Klein watch! Ultimately though, this is just my opinion. Daniel Klein watches may be more or less appealing to each individual.
