In this review, we will be taking a look at Olmeca watches. Now since we’ve been looking at watches in the budget luxury market, we’ve come across some very interesting finds. Notably, before now, Lige watches were some of the best looking watches I’ve seen at the cheapest possible prices that still maintained a decent quality.
If you didn’t already know, luxury styled watches are watches that have the appearance of an expensive or premium watch, but don’t use premium parts or manufacturing. This results in a much less expensive, nice looking watch. Many brands like this also make homages that look similar to expensive watches such as Rolex, or Audemars Piguet, for example.
Anyway, just when I thought I had seen it all, I come across Olmeca watches. Now I had thought the Lige watches did an extremely good job at the prices they came in at. Up until now, I had never seen a luxury styled watch that cheap before.
When I saw the styles and pricing of Olmeca watches, my jaw dropped. I literally could not believe what I was seeing. I saw some watches that were cheaper than the cost of shipping! And they get good reviews at that. Surely this cannot be? What is really going on here? And is being that cheap actually a good thing?
This required further investigation. So I decided to do a bit of research into these watches. That’s what brings us to this Olmeca watches review. Here I will break down the details of the build quality, designs, and pricing of these watches to see if they are really worth getting, or if they are just pieces of junk with a nice coat of paint.
First though, what do we really know about Olmeca watches?
About Olmeca Watches
It should come at no surprise that this is a Chinese brand. Chinese brands are typically responsible for most luxury styled watches and homages. Aside from that, there is not a whole lot of information out there about this brand.
They claim to have been around since 2008, sticking mostly with the local Chinese market. In 2014, they expanded to other Asian markets, including Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, and Korea. Now they are expanding their markets overseas.
Olmeca would also be a good example of a mushroom brand, since it seemingly sprouted out nowhere. The factory that produces Olmeca watches, no doubt also manufactures for many similar brands.

At this point, let’s go ahead and get into the details about these watches starting with the build quality.
Build Quality
Olmeca watches are quartz watches with analog displays. The watch cases are made of stainless steel, and the dial windows are mineral crystal. The bands are made of stainless steel, or artificial leather usually, but can come in a variety of other materials, such as silicone. These watches are only water resistant 30 meters, so keep them out of the water. They can withstand minor splashes of water, but not too much more than that.
The overall build of these watches is average and typical of lower priced watches. There is nothing wrong with that, as these watches are extremely inexpensive. You wouldn’t expect these types of watches to use premium parts.
Design & Style
This would be the main feature to look at in Olmeca watches. A lot of these designs are absolutely stunning. These watches definitely capture that premium, luxury look they are going for. They have varied luxury styles. Some are more low profile, while others are sporty, and some are extremely flashy. They even have some very unique styles I don’t really see too often.
When all is said and done though, these watches look very good. The look and feel of these watches is extremely impressive, made even more impressive by the fact that they can be purchased at such a low price. This is actually the next point we are going to discuss.
Pricing
Here is the final point to talk about that I’ve been alluding to this entire time. Olmeca watches come in at bargain prices, bargain bin prices, and even the discount of bargain bin prices! Some of their watches are cheaper than a large milkshake!
I will go ahead and say this. These watches are so cheap that you pretty much can’t lose here. It’s a win win situation.

Here is a very interesting chronograph styled watch from Olmeca. The markers here are designed to look like diamonds. It has a a cool looking calendar date window on the right side as well. This watch comes in a variety of different color combinations.
It has an analog display and does actually feature chronograph functions. Both the case and band are stainless steel. The dial window is mineral crystal. It also features luminous hands and markers. You will only get 30 meters of water resistance, so keep it out of the water.

Olmeca Tonneau Rectangle Styled Watch
Here we have one that really shows off Olmeca’s incredible versatility of style. This one is a tonneau styled rectangular watch complete with a skeleton dial window. The distinct look of this is sure to turn heads!
The display is analog. It has a stainless steel case paired with a silicone band. Dial window is mineral. It also features luminous hands and markers. Only 30 meters of water resistance, so avoid water while wearing this watch.

Final Thoughts
If you couldn’t tell already, I am thoroughly impressed by Olmeca watches. It’s not because they are just the finest quality watches available, because they are not. What makes them so impressive, is that they are very nice looking watches of decent quality at prices lower than you are likely to find anywhere else.
I would say that there is very little risk involved in purchasing an Olmeca watch. You have very little to lose and everything to gain. These watches are more than worth their price! An absolutely incredible bargain.
