In this review, we are looking at the Pagani Design watches brand. This review has been a long time coming, and is necessary to prove a point about Chinese watch brands. First of all, this brand has absolutely nothing to do with the Pagani car company. Pagani Design is a Chinese brand that has become quite popular on the online storefronts.
Chinese brands have started to produce increasingly better products over the years. Maybe it was true back in the day, that a Chinese watch was guaranteed to be garbage, but this is no longer the case. Now obviously, you’re probably not going to get high quality Swiss movements from a budget Chinese watch brand, but you can still get a high quality time piece.
There is always talk about mushroom brands, and low quality products when it comes to Chinese watches. However, as we have seen in the past, not all Chinese brands manufacture low quality products. In fact, there are quite a few that produce great quality products. I will go ahead and say that Pagani Design makes good watches.
Throughout the review, I will go into more detail about what makes them so good. We are going to be looking at the build quality, styles, and pricing of Pagani Design watches. The first thing we need to do though, is get a brief introduction into this brand.
About Pagani Design
Pagani Design, sometimes abbreviated as “PD” for short, is a Chinese watch brand specializing in luxury styled watches. The brand was actually started in 2012 in Guangzhou, China. They are best known for their homages to popular brands such as Rolex. Pagani Design really started to gain popularity on the online watch forums in 2020.
Now you may notice that lately a lot of their watches have been coming out as Pagrne Design. This appears to be a way to avoid trademark issues associated with the name “Pagani”. Either way though, whether its called Pagani Design, or Pagrne Design, make no mistake, this is the same brand we are talking about. These names can be used interchangeably.

Now we will get into the reasons behind Pagani Design’s popularity. Let’s start by looking at the build quality of their watches.
Build Quality
One thing that makes Pagani Design stand out from the crowd is their excellent build quality. They do not use low quality materials. Pagani Design makes both quartz and automatic watches with analog displays. A lot of their automatic watches will use Seiko’s NH35 movement.
The cases are stainless steel, which is pretty much standard in watches. The bands are most commonly going to be made of stainless steel or leather. Their dial windows are made of sapphire crystal most of the time, which is quality material for such inexpensive watches. Lastly, they usually have a water resistance of 100 meters, which is also good for these types of watches.
So as we have seen, Pagani Design raises the bar in terms of quality when it comes to inexpensive luxury styled watches. And that style is the next thing we are going to cover!
Style
On problem that can often appear in budget Chinese luxury styled brands, is that sometimes the watches can have kind of a cheap look to them. Fortunately, Pagani Design does not suffer from that problem!
Their watches consistently maintain a premium look about them. Even their homages, are often indistinguishable from the real thing at first glance. A lot of times, as in the case of their Rolex homages, the only indication that the watch is not an actual Rolex is the Pagani Design brand name and logo on the dial!

Pricing
This is one of the great things about Chinese luxury styled watches. they tend to be priced very affordably for the average consumer. This is true for Pagani Design as well. Their watches are priced in the mid tier of affordability.
They are not dirt cheap, but they don’t ever star creeping into the moderately expensive range either. They stay pretty much in the middle, which is a great price range, considering the quality of the watch you are getting at that price.

Pagani Design “Submariner”
This is another homage to a Rolex watch. It is made in the style of the Rolex Submariner. A classic design copied by many brands. This is probably the most common diving watch style you will ever see. This version by Pagani Design comes in several color options. We are looking at the silver one with the black dial.
It has an analog display and uses Seiko’s 24 jewel NH35 automatic movement. An exhibition case back displays this movement. The case and band are stainless steel, and the dial window is made of sapphire crystal. It is water resistant 100 meters, so it is suitable for swimming.
Other features include hacking, luminous hands and markers, and a unidirectional rotating bezel.

What more positive things can I say about this brand? Pagani Design makes quality watches, and beautiful designs and homages, at affordable prices. This is one of the best Chinese luxury style brands I have ever come across.
No its not going to be able to compete with Swiss luxury brands, but it doesn’t have to. Pagani Design does what it is was intended to, and that is to provide a great watch at a reasonable price.
